The Silverado 1500 comes standard with a turbocharged 2.7-liter I4 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The Ford F-150 comes standard with a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine that produces 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The Silverado 1500 engine lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter I6 diesel engine (305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque). The F-150 does not offer a diesel engine.
Technology
The Silverado 1500 comes standard with a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen on the base trim, while a 13.4-inch touchscreen is available. The Ford F-150 comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen, but does not offer a larger available option. Both models come standard with wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®.
